Dr. Adam Obeng, currently a Senior Staff Data Scientist at Pinterest, previously a Research Scientist at Meta, previously a Paul F. Lazarsfeld Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Columbia University in the City of New York, and sometime of St. Anne’s and Nuffield Colleges in the University of Oxford.

Rachel Williams is an experienced recruiting and HR strategist with a demonstrated history of working in the Silicon Valley tech scene. She’s skilled in full lifecycle recruiting, workforce development, Inclusion strategy, negotiation, public speaking, sales and management of projects and people. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley and considers herself a continuous learner.
Mary Kate Stimmler
Mary Kate Stimmler spearheaded Future of Work initiatives at Google, driving workplace flexibility through research, pilot programs, and program management. She led data-driven strategies on organizational topics like culture, diversity, and retention, using social science and statistical methods.
Kerry Rodden
Kerry specializes in quantitative data analysis and visualization, and previously worked as a data visualization developer at Observable, after a couple of years of consulting with organizations like for Code for America. Kerry originated the role of quantitative UX researcher at Google. Kerry has a PhD in human–computer interaction from the University of Cambridge.
Max Aufhammer
Maximilian Auffhammer is the Avice M. Saint Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics & Political Economy and Chair of the Berkeley Academic Senate. Joining UC Berkeley in 2003, his research focuses on environmental and energy economics and applied econometrics. A Research Associate at NBER and a former IPCC lead author, his work appears in top journals, including The American Economic Review and PNAS.
Bryan Graham
Bryan Graham was educated at Oxford University and Harvard University, where he received his PhD in 2005, the same year he joined Berkeley as an assistant professor. Professor Graham was awarded a Macarthur Network on Social Interactions and Economic Inequality Fellowship in 2004. He also received a Rhodes Scholarship in 1997 and a Fulbright Scholarship in 1998.
William Thompson
William Thompson is a cognitive scientist interested in understanding what makes human intelligence so open-ended and creative. “With my students and collaborators I study the social foundations of higher cognitive abilities such as language, problem-solving, reasoning, decision-making, and creative thinking.”
Mark Rosenberg
Mark is a UC Berkeley-educated political economist specializing in geopolitical risk analysis. Formerly Director at Eurasia Group, he developed political risk forecasts and managed global research. Mark is the co-founder and CEO of GeoQuant, transforming risk analysis through technology.
Iris Malone
Iris Malone is a Senior Analyst at GeoQuant. They were previously an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs Iris received their Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2019.
Becca Carter
Becca is currently a Data Scientist at Bridge. Previously, Becca was the Head of Data Science at Gusto, leading a team of 50 data scientists and analysts to scale business operations. She also held senior roles at eBay, and McKinsey & Company. Becca holds a PhD in Evolution and Cognition from UC Berkeley.
Tim Thomas
Tim Thomas is the research director at Berkeley’s Urban Displacement Project, focusing on urban sociology, housing disparities, and data science. He develops tools to measure displacement and eviction risks, and leads the Eviction Research Network. His work has influenced tenant protection laws, CDC policies, and eviction-related recommendations to the White House.
